Y1 SBa/AAr-Week 4 Learning
24 September 2021 (by Annie Arnold (annie.arnold))
We have had a super week in year 1, the children have been absolutely amazing!
Each week, on a Friday, we will post what we will be learning about the following week. This will allow you to talk to your children about what they have been doing and will support them with their learning!
In RE, children will be looking at a psalm about how God takes care of everyone.
In English, we will be looking at a new book called, 'The Rabbit Belongs to Emily Brown'. During the lessons the children will be investigating the main characters, writing descriptions about the toys in the book and creating 'lost posters'.
In maths, the children will be learning about counting back, subtraction and number problems (based on addition and subtraction).
During DT, the children will be making the toys they have planned and in history they will be ordering toys from the past on a timeline.
We will also have a RSHE lesson, looking at book called, 'You Matter'. This book reminds the children about: how important each and every one of them are; how they all are unique and without them are class is not our class!
Have a lovely week, can't wait to get learning together next week!
