Y4 Roman Day

26 January 2022 (by Joanne Eades (joanne.eades))

On Monday 14th February 2022, the History Van will be visiting school to allow the Year 4 children to take part in a ‘Romans in Britain’ day. The children will have the opportunity to dress up and learn about Roman life in Britain, and experience life as a Roman soldier. This will link to the history topic that we have covered this term, where we have been learning about how the Romans changed lives of those living in Britain.

Children are invited to dress up as a Roman for the day if they wish too.

We ask that you make a voluntary contribution towards this event of 5.60 per child (payable on Parent Pay) to cover the cost of the visit (if there is not enough funding for the event, then unfortunately it will have to be cancelled). Children who are entitled to free school meals (not universal infant free school meals) are entitled to 50% discount (£2.80 to pay) and children who are entitled to pupil premium grant are entitled to a 25% discount (£4.20 to pay). The deadline for payment on Parent Pay and permission slip is Wednesday 2nd February 2022
